Diabetes Reference Guide by Jonathan A. Smith This is a great book for someone ready to learn about diabetes. I was recently diagnosed with type II diabetes, and this book help take the anxiety shocking news and replaced it with a lot of facts and "how" and opportunities to improve the situation if you want to help a loved one who has diabetes - it would be a great guide to help you. A reading. 3 of 3 people found this review helpful. Good advice from Embry M. This is a book for the layman because the text is understandable and the information is useful. Do not go in depth, but gives a good overview of how to prevent diabetes. Research shows that a person can not reverse diabetes, but he / she can take preventive measures to change the course of diabetes or reduce the effects, if diabetes has developed.
